TY Camping trip
On Wednesday the 13th of September I went to school to get my results feeling very nervous. Everyone one would be called up to receive their results individually in the LRC. I went outside to my parents to show them my results. My parents and I were very pleased with my results. Following this I got on the bus to go camping. On the campsite my friends and I had to set up our tents on a wet slope prone to getting drenched in the rain. Other than the tents the barn was the only cover to the weather. The barn was a necessity on the trip as it was more spacious than a tent and could be used for cooking and re-creational activities such as playing cards. On the first day we walked 5 kilometres and on the second day we walked 17 kilometres . I didn't particularly enjoy this as it was tiring but it was a necessity for gaisce. The main problem with the camping trip in my opinion was that the tents were very cold and due to the weather conditions my friends and I struggled to sleep and it was not helped that Oscar Hayes brought a small tent that fell down during the night. These factors made the hike the following day tougher and harder. Overall on the camping trip I learned that I don't like to be out of my comfort zone and that I only enjoy hiking in good weather.
